Volunteer

Volunteering with Jericho is a great way to support our mission of helping the hungry, homeless, and hurting. Please read through our frequently asked questions below to find out more and see if there is an opportunity right for you!

FAQ

  • All volunteers must be at least 16 years old unless accompanied by an adult.

  • Jericho has two types of volunteers. Ministry volunteers are those who wish to volunteer with our programs or thrift stores long term. For these individuals, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, regular participation with a local church, and agreement with Jericho Road Ministries’ statement of faith are all required. For Service Volunteers, those who are either part of a group project or providing a short-term service, we only ask that the individual understands Jericho’s statement of faith and is willing to respect and honor our position as a faith-based organization while volunteering.

  • Step 1: Click on the appropriate button below to either read through our volunteer agreements or find out more about volunteering as a group.

Step 2: View open volunteer positions and click on “Apply Here” to enter your information.

Step 3: If there is an open position available and you are determined to be a good fit for that position, you will be contacted and asked to come in for our volunteer onboarding.

  • Yes! We love to have church groups, businesses, and other organizations get involved with our mission! To find out more, select “Group Volunteers” below or email volunteer@jericho-road.net.

  • At this time, we are not able to accept any community service volunteers.

  • Our biggest needs are in thrift production (helping our stores sort, price, and stock items), chapel speaker (men and women), and driver (for guest and resident appointments). If you have a special skill or area of expertise that you would like to let us know about, please email volunteer@jericho-road.net.

MINISTRY VOLUNTEER NEED:

PRODUCTION

Our thrift stores are open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. We receive and sell so much merchandise every day that we are always looking for help in the following areas:

- Accepting Donations
- Sorting/Pricing
- Cleaning/Organizing

MINISTRY VOLUNTEER NEED:

CHAPEL SPEAKER

In our men’s and women’s centers, we always have a need for individuals who are willing and able to teach the word of God

MINISTRY VOLUNTEER NEED:

DRIVER

Our men and women have frequent appointments, job interviews, meetings, and other engagements that require transportation. Volunteering as a driver not only helps our staff, but also provides valuable opportunities for conversation with our residents.
