Truck Driver
Job Summary:
The Truck Driver works under the direct supervision of the VP of Thrift. This individual must be a born-again Christian of proven testimony and evidence of spiritual growth including: leadership, discipleship, maturity, discernment, patience, objectivity, and stewardship effectiveness. This person must be able to share his or her testimony with program residents. As a professional motorist, duties include some light mechanical work, some paperwork, a lot of communication, and, of course, driving the truck. Safety to the truck driver and other motorists is of utmost importance. In order to save time and fuel, a truck driver must follow a strict schedule which requires him/her to be at certain pickup and drop-off points on time. Besides traveling from one destination to another, a truck driver will spend a lot of time packing and unpacking various goods such as furniture, electronics, clothing and other products that must be delivered to a specific location. A truck driver is responsible for all goods transported.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma.
At least 2 years’ experience as a Truck Driver
Clean valid Florida Driver License
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervisory responsibilities include the supervision of driver assistants and residents in accordance with Jericho’s policies and procedures, while maintaining appropriate boundaries. This may include, orienting and training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive, lift, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate, reach with hands and arms, and to speak and listen. There will be long periods of driving. This position will be required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle; a valid Florida driver's license is a necessity.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Administer, adhere and stay updated to policy manuals, memos, procedures, services related to this job.
Maintain excellent customer service at all times.
Supervise residents while on the truck, and input comments on residents in Kintone.
Ensure vehicles are in proper working order and kept clean. Report issues to Dispatch
Verify that you have all the items for delivery as well as the delivery slip. Call the delivery before loading to verify that they are home.
Communicate with the Dispatcher and update Monday.com as needed.
Transport unneeded items to the landfill or recycler,and collect receipt.
Maps route daily on your device, in collaboration with the Dispatcher.
Manage the condition of donations for pickup, excluding items on the “Do Not Take” list.
Distribute paperwork according to procedures for pickups and deliveries.
Complete an Incident Report on Monday.com, ASAP, for any accidents, incidents, or injuries, and inform Dispatcher, VP of Thrift, and VP of Operations.
