Job Summary:
Assist in developing and managing marketing and communication efforts for Jericho Road Ministries through social media, email, text messaging, and promotional content. Support ministry outreach by creating engaging, brand-aligned content that highlights our recovery program, thrift stores, community impact, and donor engagement initiatives while collaborating with staff on events, campaigns, and storytelling.
The Marketing Assistant reports to the VP of Development and works closely with the Media & Communications Director. They must be a born-again Christian of proven testimony and evidence of spiritual growth including leadership, discipleship, maturity, discernment, patience, objectivity, and stewardship effectiveness.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as Marketing or Communications
Work experience with a non-profit, rescue ministry is a plus but not required
2 years experience working in a professional office environment, preferred
Experience working in photography and/or videography, preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communication
Creative eye for branding, design, and visual storytelling
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools
Strong written communication and content creation skills
Basic knowledge of website editing and content management systems, preferred
Ability to work collaboratively while managing multiple deadlines
Familiarity with email marketing and text communication platforms
Passion for ministry-focused storytelling and community engagement
Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Alignment with the mission and values of Jericho Road Ministries
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, reach with hands and arms, lift, and to speak and listen. Occasionally this position may be required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle.
General Responsibilities:
Assist in managing and scheduling social media content across ministry platforms
Create engaging content that highlights ministry impact, thrift stores, and community outreach
Help coordinate thrift store email communication and promotional messaging
Draft and schedule Thrift Rewards text messages and announcements
Support design and branding needs for print and digital materials
Help maintain and update website content, as needed
Collaborate with staff to communicate ministry events, stories, and campaigns
Support community engagement and donor communication initiatives
Assist Media & Communications Director with photography, graphics, and promotional content creation
Other tasks assigned by the VP of Development or Media & Communications Director
