What happens when we slow down, take a seat, and truly listen?

October 9 and 10, our CEO Andrew Chamberlin will spend 24 hours on a bench at the Brooksville Common as part of the nationwide Conversations on a Bench initiative.

This unique, 24-hour livestreamed event invites neighbors, friends, and community members to come sit and share a conversation with Andrew. This is not an attempt to mimic homelessness. Instead, it’s an invitation—an opportunity to raise awareness and create space for honest conversation about the challenges of homelessness, addiction, and mental health in our community.

Why It Matters

Every person has a story. Conversations on a Bench is about listening without judgment, breaking down barriers, and creating space for healing. It’s a picture of what we believe at Jericho Road Ministries: when we stop and see our hurting neighbors, we begin the journey of rebuilding lives and restoring hope.

We believe no one should have to choose between putting food on the table and meeting other basic needs. That’s why we offer free groceries every Tuesday morning to residents of Hernando County.
